Roof tiles
We have roof tiles, not all of them yet but we had a great thunderstorm so that put a stop to work luckily late in the day. The tiles are a great colour match to the house too which is good we did well in our prolonged selecton of them. Andy is away this week but back to work Saturday & Sunday next weekend and all being well we should be nearing a close then, awaiting steel to cap the side door and a few little details but next sunday will be Andys last full time day on site from then he will be returning at weekends or evenings to finish the few remaining jobs. We have spent the last 3 days helping Sues Auntie move house and to be honest we are both exhausted so work is limited at the moment although still more than enough to think about & plan.

Mowing concrete
Yes thats it, Im curious about this so this is for former occupants (you know who you are) & I want to know for how many years this patio & path at the back of number 2 has been mowed and called grass / lawn. Sue was just edging the path but didnt really find the edge... the only visible parts were the 2 dark circles in the slabs to the left bottom corner so I always assumed they were like stepping stones across the lawn... so this afternoon mainly a small job turned huge but the results were great. Auntie Silvia was out all the time so she may have a shock when she returns the pretend grass or carpet as we were refering to it as we pulled it up in sheets, has gone.

I think a garage is a garage when its got something above the door opening
and we have. What an amazing week, garage has steelwork over the door which looks like a great piece of kit, so now there is something over he entrance its now officially a garage ive decided. The trailer has come out of storage and is ready for some serious work moving rubbish as the official clear out and tidy up of unwanted rubble starts soon. We have a skip available next week to fill with some bits so that will be nice, Andy has delayed the roof trusses slightly so he can revise his scaffolding arrangements before they come so the lates plan is Tuesday delivery for them. Sues Auntie has kindly agreed to move on the easter weekend so we will help with that as I have the most practicle vehicle ever and a big trailer and Sue & I are off work for 13 days over easter that and the fact that im good at moving house. This means we can have an amazing time starting doing things in preperation for an great life of countryside living which is cool and were really starting to get excited about what the future holds now.... enjoy the pics more soon... unless your getting bored....

The picture says it all really
But ill give you a few words anyway as I know you all love my stories.! Since this pic we have the wall plates and straps on (the wooden plates are on the floor by the left wall in this pic) Its poured down a few times since my last update and we have had no Andy on site for a day while it did :-( . Today we were there with Andy and as he was finishing it hailed like its never hailed before so we hid in our "cleaned out" out building because yes yet again I had a fire. This week we are aiming to get the roof trusses on and in place, the I beam over the door in place hopefully as we already have the small ones over the other 2 doors, were awaiting another tile sample for the roof so we can decide on them. All that and in the mean time Alan has a new boiler and loads of pipework so his back boiler is silent (for the 1st time in years!!) and Andy has replaced an end roof tile at Alans that blew off last week. Sue & I started on the outbuildings as we have an initial plan of action there too that involves me burning stuff, us knocking down a wall then Andy making all the walls nice and good again with bricks from Bridgemere Reclamation which has been slowly increasing its stock holding in the last 7 days.
