.....was yesterday, the 34 tonne truck was enjoying itself so much it tried to hide in a hole of hardcore. We kept it above ground with wood on the drive. Then when we got the footings filled we were short on the delivery so he went and came back, lucking with Andy, Alan, Sue, delivery man and a little bit from Kieran and the Landy's headlamps illuminating the site we got finished in the dark. Builder starts on Monday !! oh and when we removed the fence around the garage site the digger man leveled the site and stole a corner of the neighbours land so we have to come up with a smart idea to get the land back and fenced again but its about 3ft higher than our drive so will need securing and back filling at some point. Lucking the owners of said land are very understanding and have helped stop me worrying about it, back to site later or tomorrow to do a little tidying and thinking about fence locations.
That looks great. What depth of concrete for the footings? It looks like enough for a three or four storey building!
ReplyDeleteThe requirement is for a min of 600mm and ours to the top of the concrete (not the top of the hole) are a little more than that.
